RULES

Outbid Tube is a public leaderboard of YouTube videos. No ads, no accounts, no algorithm. You pay to stand above everyone else, and rank is what you paid — nothing else.

The board

There is one board and it is all-time. Your rank is the amount attached to your video, and it does not decay, expire, or reset. It changes only when you raise it or somebody pays their way past you.

The board has no bottom. Every video anyone has paid for stays on it, however far down. Nothing gets bumped off.

How ranking works

Amounts are whole US dollars. The house minimum is $100 and the most any single payment can be is $1,000,000.
You name your own price. Clicking a rank suggests a dollar more than that rank costs, but that is only a default. Type any amount and your video lands wherever that amount sorts.
A dollar is enough to pass somebody. There is no percentage rule and no minimum raise beyond that one dollar.
Equal amounts do not tie. A bid has to beat a crown, so the video that got there first keeps the higher rank.
Already on the board? Paste the same video again to raise it. The new amount has to beat your own current crown, so a raise can never quietly lower your price.
Video links are keyed by the YouTube video id, so the same video is always one entry no matter which URL form you paste. Playlist, timestamp, and tracking parameters are ignored.

What you can list

A public YouTube video that you own or are authorized to represent. That is the whole point of the board — you are paying to put your video in front of people, not somebody else’s.

The video has to be public and playable as an embed. Private, unlisted, deleted, and embedding-disabled videos will not resolve at checkout.
No sexual or adult content, and nothing illegal, hateful, harassing, or aimed at children.
No misleading listings: do not claim a rank for a video you have no right to, and do not use somebody else’s brand to pass yourself off as them.
Link shorteners are resolved to their destination. Affiliate and referral parameters are stripped.

Your links are the point

Every board entry carries the crowner’s mark: your logo, your handle, and your website, shown for exactly as long as you hold that rank. That credit is what the payment buys you. Website, logo, and social handles are optional, and you can pay without adding any of them — the row just shows less.

What it costs you

The price you name is the price you are charged. There is no processing fee, no service charge, and nothing added at checkout. Card processing is a cost the house absorbs.

After you pay

Your rank is claimed when the payment actually settles, not when the payment page closes. Some payment methods take hours; the board updates the moment the money confirms.
Your entry is public. Anyone can see the video, the amount, your mark, and your link, including search engines.
Payments are not refundable. Being outbid is the expected outcome of the board working, not a failure of it.
“Outbid Tube views” counts loads of a video’s page on this site, deduped per browser session. It is not a YouTube view count and the two will never match.

Changes and removals

We can remove a listing that breaks these rules or the law, and removal does not come with a refund. We may also change how ranking works; a completed payment keeps the rules that were in force when you paid, unless the law requires otherwise.
